Banana car bust, the world's loudest person, ranch dressing prepares to fly

Ready to peel out: When a Montana Highway Patrol officer pulled Steve Braithwaite over this week, he wasn’t surprised. After all, he was driving a a giant banana car. “The first eight or nine years (I had the car), I was probably the most pulled-over man in America," Braithwaite told KBZK. Braithwaite built the car himself and is planning a trip through Mexico and Central America that he calls the "World Needs More Whimsy Grand Tour."
Tasty: Kraft, the food conglomerate, has announced it will introduce “TSA-complaint Ranch” to help people travel with America’s most popular salad dressing, reports KTLA. The plan to sell a containter filled with small Ranch packets — within TSA rules — comes as European visitors to the United States for the World Cup are discovering the dressing. One Swedish visitor posted: “Why did no one tell me ranch sauce is like crack? EUROPE WE NEED RANCH ASAP.”
Bummer?: A drop in car break-ins in Oakland has been hurting business at local auto glass repair shops, reports KTVU. Crime statistics show that vehicle break-ins are down by 37% compared to a year ago, meaning fewer shattered windshields and windows that need replacement. One glass installer said he’s had to lay off three employees because of the decrease in crime. “It’s a lot. We’ve taken quite a hit," said James Serwa, owner of Glass on the Move.
Colorful: Animal experts fear that pigeons that were dyed bright blue for a gender reveal event in Utah and then released into the wild could be an easy mark for birds of prey, reports 12News.com. “They don’t blend in well with our natural setting,” said Crystal White, head of a wildlife rehabilitation group “They are like beacons for predators.” White said the dye itself could also harm the birds. The blue pigeons were released by an influencer couple called “Dove Clubb” who now say they were misled about bird safety issues.
Definitely not: Two people were arrested in Kentucky after police said they found drugs in their car in a bag labeled, “Deffntely not a bag full full of drugs,” reports WKYT. Tricia Croley, 51, and Damon Bennett, 48, were arrested on the narcotics charges and outstanding warrants. A Twitter user commented: “Jedi mind trick didn’t work.”
Booming: An Australian air conditioner cleaner has become the world’s loudest person, reports AP. Joseph McGrail-Bateup won the honor when the Guinness World Records recorded him shouting the word “now” at 122.4 decibels, about the level of a chain saw a close range. “My voice was shot for the next couple of days,” he said. “But it’s a lot of fun when you’re doing it,”
